India-Japan Economic Synergy: FICCI Delegation Explores New Avenues in Tokyo

There has recently been a FICCI business delegation to Japan. The leader of the delegation was Mr. Manish Sharma, Chairman of Panasonic India. They had a productive meeting with Ambassador Sibi George, one of the primary reasons being to look for potential opportunities in India-Japan collaboration.

The key areas of collaboration were predominantly business, manufacturing and HR development. The meetings emphasized increased momentum in the direction of close bilateral commercial relations, underpinned by the shared vision both nations have for enhanced economic cooperation.

Attending the meetings with the two delegations was Mr. Kazuya Nakajo, Executive Vice President of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), who opined that Japanese businesses are extremely keen to expand their presence in the Indian market.

The talks affirmed that both economies are determined to improve investment and trade flows as well as forge partnerships in areas of innovation.
