Proud to be among like-minded partners at the inauguration of the UNICEF and Nordic+ Embassies Breakfast Series yesterday in New Delhi. The Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Iceland, Tinna Sveinsdóttir, had the honor to deliver a speech at the opening session of the Series, titled, “Bridging the Learning Gap in India,” — a necessary conversation on education, equity, and sustainable development.
With India glancing towards its 2047 development vision, education is once again a central lever. This inaugural session brought together all of the voices from government, civil society, business and more who are dedicated to bridging evidence to action for all children.

“Education is particularly a shared priority. It is both the springboard to opportunities, and the keystone of sustainable, inclusive development. Iceland is a strong advocate for equity in education—providing all children with chances to thrive, irrespective of their origins.” — Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of Iceland
We are honored to be among the participants of this collective effort with UNICEF and the embassies of Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland and the Netherlands in promoting the child rights and the SDGs.
