Along with Kartikeya Sharma, President of AB InBev India, and Jayant Nadiger of Flanders Investment & Trade-India, Ambassador Didier Vanderhasselt had the privilege of meeting with Sri Siddaramaiah, the Honourable Chief Minister of Karnataka, in Bengaluru.

With talks about the legal framework for conducting business in the state, the meeting’s main objectives were to strengthen collaboration and investigate new prospects for Belgian-Karnataka partnerships. AB InBev’s India headquarters are located in Bengaluru, which is known as the country’s digital capital and a significant industrial center.

The world’s biggest brewer, AB InBev, employs more than 3,000 people in Karnataka and makes the famous Belgian white beer Hoegaarden in Mysore. Major international brands like Corona and Budweiser are also part of its portfolio in India.

The delegation also looked at the operations of AB InBev’s ten Indian breweries, including growth plans, the condition of the Indian beer market, and pertinent laws.

Belgium’s dedication to developing economic relations with Karnataka and encouraging ongoing industrial cooperation was reaffirmed by this high-level engagement.
