New Delhi, During a diplomatic reception to welcome Ambassador Srinivas Gotru, recently appointed as India’s Ambassador to ASEAN in Jakarta, ASEAN Ambassadors engaged in a dialogue with Mr. Shombi Sharp, the United Nations Resident Coordinator (UNRC) to India, and his team.
The UN team’s accomplishments in India, particularly in promoting South-South cooperation, were the main topic of discussion.
The appointment of Ambassador Gotru was welcomed by ASEAN envoys as a step forward in fortifying India-ASEAN ties, and they acknowledged India’s significant contribution to global south collaboration.
