Ambassador Haris Hrle shares insights in an interview

Sarajevo | Bosnia and Herzegovina is currently facing a major shortage of workers. The reason behind this is that many young and working-age people from the country have moved to European nations in search of better job opportunities. As a result, businesses in Bosnia are struggling to find enough workers locally.

To tackle this issue, Bosnian companies have started hiring workers from other countries. In an interview with Radio Sarajevo, Ambassador Haris Hrle revealed that workers from India, Nepal, and Bangladesh are now coming to Bosnia and working in various sectors.

According to the ambassador, this arrangement is beneficial for both sides.

“Indian workers are happy with the working conditions and salaries in Bosnia, while companies here greatly appreciate their hardworking and honest nature,”  — Ambassador Haris Hrle

He added that this is not just a temporary solution, but rather the beginning of a new economic and social reality in Bosnia, where foreign workers will play an important role.
