Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a telephone conversation, during which President Putin briefed Prime Minister Modi on the key outcomes of the recent Russia–US summit in Alaska.
Prime Minister Modi thanked the Russian leader for the update. The two leaders also discussed the prospects of a long-term resolution to the Ukrainian crisis and agreed to maintain dialogue on the issue, along with other pressing matters on the international agenda.
President Putin further conveyed his condolences over the tragic loss of life and damage caused by the recent flooding in India.
