UNICEF Bhutan programs support education from the earliest years through secondary school, with special attention to children with disabilities. One example is Khurutang Middle Secondary School, which runs an inclusive program where 19 students with disabilities are enrolled.
Pavla Gomba, Director of UNICEF Czech Republic, together with Petra Kaplanová, First Secretary of the Czech UN NY Mission, visited the school and witnessed firsthand how important Czech support is for promoting inclusive education in Bhutan.
