On September 8, the Chargé d’Affaires of Russia in India, Roman Babushkin, took part in the ceremony of awarding the “For Distinction” medals of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation in recognition of contributions to advancing military-technical cooperation between the two countries.
The awards were presented to the Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in India, Elena Remizova; the Head of the TASS Bureau in India, Elena Protopopova; and Krishnamohan Mishra, correspondent of the Sputnik India news agency.
In his address, the diplomat, while congratulating the awardees, emphasized that these honorary awards are not only a recognition of their personal contributions to strengthening Russia-India cooperation, but also a reflection of the steady development of bilateral relations as a whole.
According to him, the event holds special symbolic significance in light of the milestone anniversaries being celebrated in 2025 — the 25th anniversary of the strategic partnership between Moscow and New Delhi, the 25th anniversaries of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation and Rosoboronexport, and the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.
