On 22 September, mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis, a visionary who created timeless music, paintings, poetry, and artistic photography far ahead of his time. His enduring love for Lithuania endures in nearly 300 paintings, around 400 musical compositions, and numerous other forms of art.
The Embassy of Lithuania in India launched the Čiurlionis150 celebrations in April with a special showcase of his art and music, performed by Italian pianist and Čiurlionis admirer, Daniele Buccio, in New Delhi.
As part of the commemorations, three more Čiurlionis music concerts will be held across India by Sonata and Rokas Zubovai in New Delhi, Pune, and Kolkata. Classical music connoisseurs are warmly invited to join in celebrating Čiurlionis in India.
