Hearing of Her Excellency Madam Ildjima Badda Mallot, Ambassador of Chad to India with Secretary of Defence, Govt of India
As part of strengthening bilateral cooperation between Chad and India, including in the fields of security and defense, Her Excellency Madam Ildjima Badda Mallot, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Chad to the Republic of India, was received in hearing, on 21st October 2025, at Ministry of Defence, Govt of India, by Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh, Secretary of Defence, Government of India.

During the exchanges, Madam Ambassador conveyed fraternal greetings to the Government of Chad and reiterated Chad’s deep appreciation for the quality of friendly relations and partnership with India. She also thanked the Indian Government for its constant support, especially through the military training offers made available to Chad cadres.
The two parties hailed the excellence of bilateral cooperation between their two countries, as illustrated in particular by the participation of the Chad delegation in AERO INDIA 2025, and stressed the need for further deepening it in the areas of training, capacity-building and sharing expertise, in addressing common security threats, such as terrorism and illegal cross-border traffic.

On his part, Defence Secretary Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh hailed the role of Chad as a key regional partner in the fight against terrorism in the Sahel and reaffirmed India’s readiness to strengthen military and technical cooperation with Chad, in A mutually beneficial partnership approach.
Her Excellency Madam Ildjima Badda Mallot was accompanied, for this occasion, by Mr. Hissein Oumar Seidou, First Counsellor to the Embassy of Chad in India.
