Large military operation by the Israeli army in Tubas, curfew imposed.

On Wednesday morning, the Israeli army launched a large military operation in the city of Tubas in the northern West Bank and the surrounding areas. The army said that its presence here could last for several days. The operation is also underway in Tammun, Tayasir, and Aqaba, in addition to Tubas.

According to local officials, a large number of soldiers entered the towns with bulldozers and searched several houses. During this time, helicopters and drones continued to fly overhead, and helicopters also opened fire multiple times, spreading fear among the people.

Moreover, Israeli bulldozers broke the main roads and piled up mounds of earth, cutting off the Tubas governorate from the rest of the West Bank. Due to the deteriorating situation, schools and kindergartens have been closed.

Local sources say that the army has carried out strict raids on several houses, arrested civilians, and blocked the movement of ambulances. Some families allege that they were forced to vacate their homes so that soldiers could use them as military posts.

The governor of Tubas stated that an indefinite curfew has been imposed across the governorate since 4 a.m. The army says that the operation is against ‘alleged terrorism,’ while the governor claims that no wanted individuals are present in the area.
