Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh and Russian Defence Minister Andrei Belousov co-chaired the 22nd session of the India–Russia Inter-Governmental Commission on Military and Military Technical Cooperation in New Delhi today.

During the meeting, both leaders reaffirmed that the India–Russia partnership is grounded in mutual trust, shared principles and longstanding respect. Rajnath Singh emphasised the potential for expanding collaboration in advanced and niche defence technologies, aligning with India’s goal of strengthening self-reliance in defence production.

Minister Belousov stated that the Russian defence industry is prepared to support India’s indigenous defence manufacturing initiatives.

The session concluded with the signing of a protocol outlining ongoing projects and future avenues of cooperation between the two nations.
