This year’s theme, “Know AIDS for No AIDS,” focused on the crucial role of awareness and accurate knowledge in preventing HIV transmission. The programme opened with an informative session on HIV and AIDS, covering virology, modes of transmission, prevention strategies, and the importance of early diagnosis. Myths and misconceptions were also addressed to strengthen understanding through scientific facts.

To foster active participation, a quiz competition was held for both students and faculty members. Red ribbon badges were distributed and worn as a symbol of solidarity and awareness. Students further showcased their creativity by preparing posters with impactful HIV/AIDS awareness messages.

The event concluded with a short awareness march outside the building, reinforcing the collective commitment to education, empathy, and prevention under the theme “Know AIDS for No AIDS.” The observance highlighted the dedication of virology students and faculty to promoting accurate knowledge and contributing to public health awareness.
