Aligarh, December 30: The Aligarh Muslim University Alumni Association Qatar (AMUAAQ) organised a distinguished cultural evening featuring Dastangoi on December 25, 2025, at Kanjani Hall, Indian Cultural and Business Forum (ICBF), Doha. The event showcased the internationally acclaimed theatre artist, poet, and author Jawaid Danish, who presented his celebrated solo performance “Dastan-e-Hijraton Ki”, a powerful narrative on the emotional and social journeys of immigrants.
The performance held the audience spellbound for nearly an hour, evoking deep reflection on displacement, belonging, memory, and resilience. The packed auditorium responded with a spontaneous standing ovation.
Welcoming the gathering, Dr. Nadeem Jilani, President, AMUAAQ, highlighted the Association’s commitment to promoting cultural and literary engagement among the diaspora. Dr. Ashna Nusrat, Vice President (Ladies Wing), outlined the Association’s initiatives.
