A serious report has emerged regarding Israeli actions against Palestinians in occupied East Jerusalem. According to a report issued by the Jerusalem Governorate and published by the Palestine Information Center, Israeli security forces killed 144 Palestinians between 2021 and 2025. Of those killed, the bodies of 51 Palestinians have not yet been returned by Israel, which the Governorate described as a policy of collective punishment. Officials say this constitutes a serious violation of international humanitarian law.
According to the report, 11,555 Palestinians were arrested over the past five years, including children and women. In addition, 6,528 people were injured in actions by Israeli soldiers and Jewish settlers. The report also presents alarming figures regarding the Al-Aqsa Mosque. It states that over five years, 289,497 settlers entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound. In 2025 alone, 74,114 such incidents were recorded. According to the report, this is part of an attempt to alter the historical status quo.
There has also been an increase in cases of house demolitions and land clearance. In addition, Israel demolished 1,732 Palestinian homes and structures in Jerusalem. Alongside this, 1,439 demolition, seizure, and eviction orders were issued, leaving many families homeless. Furthermore, 1,467 settler attacks against Palestinians and their property were recorded. Under court rulings, 1,491 people were sent to prison, and 2,386 people were issued deportation orders, most of whom were barred from entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Jerusalem Governorate says that all these figures reflect a deliberate policy aimed at weakening the Palestinian presence in Jerusalem and altering the city’s demographic composition.
