France and Germany Reaffirm Strategic Partnership, Highlight EU–India Cooperation on Franco-German Friendship Day

France and Germany marked Franco-German Friendship Day by reaffirming the depth of their bilateral relationship and underscoring their shared commitment to strengthening cooperation between the European Union and India.

Describing their partnership as one of the closest and most enduring in Europe, the two countries emphasized that advancing EU–India cooperation represents a significant strategic opportunity. France and Germany noted that, in close coordination with Indian partners, they are working daily to expand collaboration across key areas of mutual interest, including diplomacy, trade, innovation, and global governance.

The message was jointly highlighted with the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Germany’s Federal Foreign Office (Auswärtiges Amt), and the German Embassy in New Delhi, reflecting a coordinated diplomatic effort across Europe and South Asia.

Franco-German Friendship Day, commemorated annually, serves as a reminder of the historic reconciliation between the two nations and their continuing role as a driving force for European unity and international cooperation.
