Netherlands–India Deepen AI Collaboration Ahead of India AI Impact Summit

New Delhi: The Netherlands and India are strengthening their strategic partnership in innovation and artificial intelligence in the lead-up to the 🇮🇳 AI Impact Summit.

On Monday last week, the Netherlands welcomed H.E. Harry Verweij, Ambassador-at-Large for the Kingdom of the Netherlands on Artificial Intelligence. Ambassador Verweij represented the Netherlands as co-chair of the Working Group on AI for Economic Growth and Social Good, alongside India and Indonesia, underscoring the three countries’ shared commitment to leveraging AI for inclusive and sustainable development.

Later in the week, on Thursday, Deputy Ambassador Huib Mijnarends participated in a high-level discussion titled “The Evolving Politics of AI Governance.” The event was co-organized by the French Embassy and digital rights organization Access Now, and brought together key stakeholders to examine emerging global approaches to AI governance.

As preparations continue for the AI Impact Summit and in the period beyond, the Netherlands reaffirmed its role as a committed partner to India in advancing innovation that supports the planet, empowers people, and contributes to shared global progress.
