New Delhi: External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar on Friday met H.E. Ms. Varsen Aghabekian Shahin, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine, in New Delhi and held discussions on key regional and bilateral issues.
During the meeting, the two leaders exchanged views on the Gaza Peace Plan and the evolving regional developments in West Asia. They also reviewed ongoing development cooperation between India and Palestine and agreed on initiatives to further strengthen bilateral engagement.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of a series of high-level diplomatic engagements, during which Dr. Jaishankar also held discussions with the Foreign Ministers of Somalia, Libya, Sudan and Comoros, as well as the Secretary General of the League of Arab States.
India has consistently supported humanitarian assistance and capacity-building initiatives in Palestine, reflecting its long-standing commitment to peace, stability and development in the region.
