The Global Sumoud Flotilla announced on Thursday that a massive humanitarian campaign will be launched in March 2026 to break the blockade of Gaza via both land and sea routes. The organization described it as ‘the largest humanitarian aid campaign in history.’ Thousands of activists from more than 100 countries will take part in this initiative.
This announcement comes at a time when, despite a ceasefire agreement in effect since October 10, Israel is being accused of failing to comply with humanitarian provisions in Gaza. These include allegations of blocking the entry of fuel, relief supplies, and essential equipment needed for clearing debris into Gaza.
In a statement released on social media platform X, the Global Sumoud Flotilla announced the formal launch of ‘the largest coordinated humanitarian relief campaign in history for Palestine.
Under this campaign, a maritime flotilla and a coordinated land convoy will be included, both of which will depart on March 29, 2026. The primary objective is stated to be breaking the blockade of Gaza and alleviating the humanitarian crisis there.
According to the organization, this will be a fully peaceful and organized initiative, in which activists from around the world will unite to raise their voices against the alleged genocide, blockade, starvation, and destruction of civilian life taking place in Gaza.
The Global Sumoud Flotilla stated clearly that this campaign is far larger than all previous efforts and has taken the form of a global mass movement aimed at ending the blockade of Gaza.
This humanitarian mission will involve more than 1,000 doctors, nurses, and healthcare workers. Alongside them, teachers, engineers, reconstruction specialists, and teams tasked with investigating war crimes and environmental destruction will also participate. The organization described it as a comprehensive international effort in support of the Palestinian people.
According to the report, Israel has been waging a war against the population of Gaza since October 7, 2023, which has been described as a genocide. During this period, there have been widespread killings, starvation, destruction, displacement, and mass arrests. It is alleged that all of this has been carried out with the support of the United States and European countries, while international appeals and orders of the International Court of Justice have been ignored.
However, although a ceasefire agreement was reached on October 10, 2025, the report states that Israel is violating its provisions on a daily basis.
