New Delhi – Egypt secured first place at the International Cultural Festival “Global Village,” hosted by Sharda University in Noida, India, with the Egyptian pavilion drawing significant attention and praise from attendees and organizers alike.
Mrs. Dalia Tantawy, Minister Plenipotentiary and Deputy Head of Mission at the Egyptian Embassy in New Delhi, participated in the event alongside representatives from the Embassy’s Cultural Office. Their presence underscored Egypt’s commitment to strengthening cultural ties and promoting people-to-people diplomacy with India.

The festival, which brought together students and representatives from various countries, aimed to celebrate cultural diversity and foster mutual understanding among different nationalities. Participants showcased their countries’ heritage through traditional performances, national costumes, cuisine, art displays, and informational exhibits.
The Egyptian pavilion stood out for its vibrant presentation of Egypt’s rich history and civilization. Visitors were introduced to aspects of ancient Egyptian heritage, traditional crafts, music, and authentic cuisine, creating an immersive cultural experience. The pavilion witnessed a large turnout throughout the event, attracting a substantial number of visitors and generating strong engagement.

Following an overall evaluation of participants and their cultural representation, Egyptian students were awarded first place, recognizing their outstanding effort in presenting Egypt’s cultural identity in a dynamic and engaging manner.
The achievement reflects the active role of Egyptian students abroad in serving as cultural ambassadors and highlights the ongoing cooperation between Egypt and India in the fields of education and cultural exchange.
