On Sunday evening in northern Gaza, two Palestinians were killed and several others were injured in Israeli artillery shelling. The incident marks the 141st consecutive violation of the fragile ceasefire that has been in effect since October 11, 2025.
According to medical sources, two people were killed and several others were injured in shelling that targeted the Al-Jarn area of Jabalia city. The wounded were taken to local medical centers for treatment.
The report states that despite the ceasefire, Israeli actions are continuing. Israeli authorities have announced the closure of all crossings into Gaza, including the Rafah Crossing. This has further worsened the already deteriorating humanitarian situation, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
In addition, attacks were reported on Saturday in several areas of the Gaza Strip. Israeli military vehicles opened heavy fire toward the northeastern areas of the Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza. Artillery shelling and intense gunfire were also reported in the northwestern parts of the Strip. In southern Gaza, Israeli artillery also targeted the eastern areas of Khan Younis.
Since the implementation of the nominal ceasefire agreement, nearly 618 Palestinians have been killed and 1,663 injured in ongoing shelling and shooting incidents. Overall, more than 72,000 people have been killed and over 171,000 injured in the continuing conflict. Most of them are women and children. Additionally, 90 percent of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure has been destroyed.
The continued violence amid the fragile ceasefire has raised serious questions about the prospects for peace in the region.
