JNU Hosts Roundtable on Kazakhstan’s Constitutional Reforms and Future of India–Kazakhstan Relations

A roundtable discussion titled “Constitutional Reform and Democratic Transformation in Kazakhstan: Implications for Governance and Kazakhstan–India Relations” was held on March 12, 2026 at Jawaharlal Nehru University in collaboration with the Embassy of Kazakhstan in India.

During the event, Azamat Yeskarayev, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to India, presented an overview of the key directions of the country’s constitutional reforms and the broader democratic transformation currently underway in Kazakhstan.

The roundtable brought together scholars, researchers, and students who engaged in discussions on the governance implications of these reforms and their potential impact on regional diplomacy.

Participants also explored opportunities for strengthening bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and India, highlighting prospects for deeper engagement in political dialogue, academic exchange, and strategic partnership between the two countries.
