Kazakhstan Accelerates AI Push as President Tokayev Visits Alem.ai Center

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited the Alem.ai International AI Center in Astana, highlighting the country’s growing focus on digital transformation and artificial intelligence.

During the visit, officials presented the Astana Smart City project, showcasing advanced urban technologies aimed at improving city management and public services. A major highlight of the event was the launch of a network of Tomorrow School AI institutions across 14 regions, designed to strengthen AI education and innovation nationwide.

The President also inaugurated the TUMO Astana Center, an initiative focused on equipping young people with cutting-edge digital and creative skills. In recognition of emerging talent, Tokayev awarded winners of the alem.ai battle and the AI Governance Cup.

The event also marked the official countdown launch for the Games of the Future – Astana 2026, which is expected to bring global attention to Kazakhstan’s tech and innovation ecosystem.

The visit underscores Kazakhstan’s steady progress in digitalization and its ambition to position itself as a regional leader in artificial intelligence.
