Tokayev Visits AI Center in Astana, Highlights Kazakhstan’s Digital Progress

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, visited the Alem.ai International AI Center in Astana, underscoring the country’s ongoing push toward digital transformation and artificial intelligence development.

During the visit, officials presented the Astana Smart City project, aimed at enhancing urban management through advanced technologies. The event also marked the launch of a nationwide network of Tomorrow School AI institutions across 14 regions, designed to strengthen education in artificial intelligence and digital skills.

In addition, the TUMO Astana center—focused on creative technologies and youth education—was officially opened. President Tokayev also awarded winners of the alem.ai battle and the AI Governance Cup, recognizing innovation and excellence in the tech sector.

The visit concluded with the ceremonial launch of the countdown to the “Games of the Future – Astana 2026,” an upcoming international event blending sports and technology.

Kazakhstan continues to demonstrate steady progress in digitalization and the adoption of artificial intelligence as part of its broader development strategy.
