New Delhi, May 4: The annual All-Russian St. George’s Ribbon patriotic campaign commenced at the Alexander Kadakin School located within the Russian Embassy in India.
As part of the initiative, students were educated on the historical background of St. George and the symbolic importance of the St. George’s Ribbon. The ribbon is widely recognized as a tribute to veterans, representing remembrance, respect, and gratitude.
Members of the All-Russian Military Patriotic Social Movement “Young Army” actively participated in the event by distributing ribbons to embassy staff, their families, and other attendees. They also provided guidance on the proper way to wear the ribbon and emphasized the importance of treating it with respect.
The campaign is scheduled to continue through May 12.
