ALIGARH, May 12: The Aligarh Muslim University Malayali Association (AMUMA) organised a farewell programme in honour of Prof T. N. Satheesan, Professor of Malayalam and Dean, Faculty of Arts, AMU, along with the release of the third edition of its annual multilingual magazine Barcode.
The programme began with a welcome address by General Secretary Sabith and was presided over by AMUMA President Ashiq Madakkara.

Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Mohd Mohsin Khan graced the programme as Chief Guest and paid tribute to Prof Satheesan on his retirement after 38 years of academic service at AMU. He appreciated Prof Satheesan’s contributions to teaching, administration and academic development at the university.
Speakers including Prof Abdurrahim, Prof Naushad Ali P.M., Dr Taher H. Pathan, Dr Muneer A.K., Dr Abdul Azeez N.P., Rafsal Babu C.V. and Dr Subair P.M. highlighted Prof Satheesan’s commitment to student welfare, mentorship and academic leadership.
On the occasion, Prof Mohsin Khan also released Barcode, AMUMA’s annual multilingual magazine featuring literary and creative contributions by students and faculty members from Kerala at AMU. The magazine was edited by Iyas Rahman, a second-year undergraduate student, along with the editorial team.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Treasurer Ayisha Rabiya.
