The Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) has alleged that the Israeli army detained four Palestinian high school students in the West Bank while they were taking their final exams.
According to PPS, a total of 65 students from different educational levels have been detained before or during their examinations since the beginning of the current academic year.
The organization claims that since the outbreak of the war in Gaza, high school students have been repeatedly targeted to prevent them from sitting for their final exams and to disrupt their education.
PPS also alleged that Palestinian prisoners, including detained children and students, are subjected to torture, humiliation, and abuse in Israeli prisons.
The organization has called on the United Nations and international human rights organizations to pressure Israel to end the alleged violations against Palestinian students and prisoners. PPS also urged the international community to provide protection for detained children and students held in Israeli prisons.
