New Delhi, September 27, 2026: The Muslim Youth Organisation of India (MYO) organised Ulama Meet 2026 at Zaminul Masajid, Dargah Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya, New Delhi, bringing together approximately 50 Ulama, Imams, scholars and community leaders from Delhi-NCR for a focused dialogue on contemporary challenges facing the Muslim community and wider society.
The programme focused on promoting balanced and progressive religious discourse, addressing hate speech and misinformation, and developing constructive communication strategies to strengthen peace, mutual respect and social harmony.
The key resource persons included Dr. Taj Muhammad Azhari, scholar; Zafruddin Barkaati, Editor of Kanzul Iman; Nooruddin Azhari, Mohammad Kashif Khan and Dr Shujaat Ali Quadri. They shared their perspectives on the evolving role of religious scholars and community leaders in addressing contemporary social and communication challenges.
The discussions highlighted the importance of responsible engagement on digital platforms, countering divisive narratives without amplifying provocative content, and promoting constitutional values and peaceful coexistence. The Meet also emphasised the role of Ulama and Imams in engaging with young people through positive communication, digital outreach and constructive dialogue with India’s diverse society.
Through this initiative, MYO aims to strengthen a network of scholars and community leaders committed to peace, social cohesion, responsible public discourse and national integration. The programme concluded with a shared commitment to promote wisdom, mutual respect and constructive engagement in addressing contemporary challenges.
