New Delhi, November 5 — Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov addressed the plenary session of the Russian-Indian forum “From the Volga to the Ganges: Dialogue of Civilizations and Integration of Capital Markets”, held with the support of the Committee on International Affairs of the State Duma of Russia.

In a video message, Ambassador Alipov underscored the longstanding mutual interest between the peoples of Russia and India in each other’s rich cultural heritage. He also outlined the growing trade, economic, and financial cooperation between the two countries, highlighting opportunities for mutual investment and capital integration.

The forum brought together prominent representatives from government, business, and academia of both nations. Among the speakers were Sriram Krishnan, Chief Business Development Officer of the National Stock Exchange of India; Veena Srivastava, Chief General Manager at the Reserve Bank of India; Leonid Slutsky, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs; Eduard Grekov, Chairman of the Forum and Board of Directors of the Gas Motor Machines Group of Companies; Sergey Glazyev, General Secretary of the Union State of Russia and Belarus; and Andrey Klepach, Chief Economist of the Russian state development corporation VEB.RF.

Experts and business leaders from Russia and India also participated in the discussions, focusing on deepening bilateral cooperation, enhancing financial connectivity, and exploring new avenues for sustainable growth.
