On April 24, senior diplomats from BRICS nations convened in New Delhi for the annual consultations of Foreign Ministers and Special Representatives focused on the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Among the participants was Georgy Borisenko, representing Russia.

The meeting addressed key regional developments, including the situation in the Persian Gulf and ongoing conflicts such as the Israeli-Palestinian issue, as well as crises in Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, Sudan, and Libya.
Participants emphasized the urgent need for an immediate cessation of hostilities in the Gulf region and underscored the importance of sustained political and diplomatic efforts to resolve tensions.

There was a shared consensus that challenges in the MENA region should be addressed in accordance with international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter, including respect for national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and non-interference in internal affairs.
The BRICS countries reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing foreign policy coordination to promote consensus-based solutions to regional crises.

On the sidelines of the consultations, Borisenko also held bilateral meetings with leaders of other BRICS delegations.
