Lithuania and Bangladesh are looking to further strengthen their bilateral relations, with a focus on expanding cultural, business and trade ties ahead of the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2027.
During a meeting with Bangladesh’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaed Islam, MP, discussions were held on ways to deepen cooperation between the two countries across these key areas.

The meeting highlighted the importance of strengthening people-to-people connections and creating greater opportunities for economic and cultural engagement.
Lithuania and Bangladesh are set to mark 35 years of diplomatic relations in 2027, providing an opportunity for both countries to further build on their existing partnership and explore new avenues of cooperation.
