New Delhi: Two Russian films received major accolades at the 15th Delhi International Film Festival, highlighting the growing global recognition of contemporary Russian cinema and strengthening cultural ties between Russia and India.
The film “Fog”, directed by Natalia Gugueva, won the awards for Best Story and Best Women Director in the “World Cinema” category. Meanwhile, “The Hunter”, directed by Zaur Tsogoev, was honored with the award for Best Adventure Film in the same category.

The awards were accepted on behalf of the filmmakers by Ekaterina Lazareva, Third Secretary of the Russian Embassy in India, during the festival’s closing ceremony.

The Embassy of Russia in India congratulated Natalia Gugueva, Zaur Tsogoev, and the creative teams behind both films for their achievements, noting that the victories reflect the high artistic standards of modern Russian cinema and its strong resonance with international audiences.
