The District Emergency Operations Center was visited along with the Deputy Commissioner of Kullu as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen disaster preparedness and resilience in Himachal Pradesh.
The Himachal Pradesh Disaster Risk Reduction & Preparedness Program, financed by the French Development Agency (AFD – Agence Française de Développement), highlights the strong cooperation between France and India in the areas of resilient infrastructure, early warning systems, and climate adaptation.
The initiative aims to enhance the state’s capacity to respond effectively to natural disasters while promoting sustainable and climate-resilient development across vulnerable regions.
