ALIGARH, The Centre for Promotion of Educational and Cultural Advancement of Muslims of India (CEPECAMI), Aligarh Muslim University, organised a plantation drive on the University campus to promote environmental conservation and sustainable living.
The programme was held under the guidance of Prof. M. Mohibul Haque, Director, CEPECAMI, and coordinated by Dr. Ahmad Mujtaba Siddiqui, Assistant Director.
Prof. Anwar Shahzad, Member In-charge, Land and Gardens, AMU, who was the Chief Guest, highlighted the importance of tree plantation in maintaining ecological balance, combating climate change, and ensuring a healthier environment for future generations. He urged students and members of the University community to actively participate in environmental conservation initiatives.
The drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, staff, and students, including Dr.Asfiya Karimi, who joined the plantation activity.
Prof. M. Mohibul Haque appreciated the active involvement of the participants and emphasized the need to cultivate environmental responsibility through such initiatives. Dr. Ahmad Mujtaba Siddiqui proposed the vote of thanks and reaffirmed CEPECAMI’s commitment to promoting a greener and more sustainable campus.
