Israeli military operations intensified across southern Lebanon on Wednesday evening, with several areas witnessing airstrikes, heavy artillery fire, explosions and bulldozing operations.
According to Lebanon’s National News Agency, Israeli warplanes carried out two strikes on the town of Sarbin, while the Wadi Zibqin area came under artillery fire. Two additional airstrikes were also reported between the towns of Beit and Yater.
Heavy artillery fire targeted the area around the Litani River along the Khardali highway. At the same time, Israeli forces carried out a major explosion in Byout al-Sayyad, near the town of Mansouri in the southern Tyre area.
The military activity also extended to the Marjayoun district, where an Israeli bulldozer carried out demolitions affecting several buildings in the town of Houla. In Bani Hayyan, Israeli forces bulldozed a section of land while artillery shelling was reported in the area. Intermittent artillery fire also struck Duhat Kafr Rumman and the area around al-Dibsha hill.
According to the report, Israeli forces carried out a massive explosion on the outskirts of Baraachit, followed by another blast in Majdal Zoun. In the Bint Jbeil district, Israeli forces raided Sarbin and carried out detonations on its outskirts. Later, Israeli warplanes launched two further airstrikes on the town. There were no immediate reports of casualties from the strikes.
Amid the escalation in southern Lebanon, Israeli drones were also reported flying at low altitudes over Beirut. Other drones were spotted over the capital’s southern suburbs and the Zahrani area in southern Lebanon.
The reported attacks involved multiple forms of military activity across southern Lebanon, including airstrikes, artillery shelling, explosions and bulldozing operations.
