The first Asian Buddhist Summit, 2024, is set to take place on November 5-6, 2024, in New Delhi. This event aims to gather esteemed personalities such as Thích Thiện Nhơn, President of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Prof KT S Sarao, former head of Buddhist Studies, University of Delhi, Mingyur Rinpoche, Meditation Master,Karma Kagyu, Nepal, Thich Nhat Tu , Standing VC, Buddhist University, Vietnam, and Aryawangso, Buddhapojhariphunchai, from the Forest Monastery, Thailand.
From across Asia, these eminent thinkers have arrived to foster dialogue and understanding among diverse Buddhist communities from different geographies and cultures. A highlight of the summit is that President Draupadi Murmu will address the gathering.
The summit highlights the rich heritage of Buddhism, especially in South Asia, but also seeks to address contemporary issues facing the global community through the lens of Buddhist philosophy and practices.
