Ambassador Ganbold Dambajav received Maharaja Aishwarya Chandra Katoch of Kangra for a discussion on the historical relations between Mongolia and the Kangra Kingdom, which date back several centuries.
Historical records indicate that Mongolia and India share ancient ties extending as far back as 10 000 years. It is believed that people from the Kangra Kingdom, located in the foothills of the Himalayas, migrated to Mongolia in ancient times. After residing there for over 2 000 years, the majority eventually returned to India.
