Ms. Sandiyakoemari Mangre, Commercial Attaché of the Embassy of Suriname in India , participated in the panel discussion on “Innovation, Technology and Investment: Building the MSME Growth Ecosystem” organized by the Global Trade & Technology Council of India – GTTCI.

Key topics included access to capital, data protection, Industry 4.0, and the role of Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs).
Ms. Mangre presented Suriname’s efforts to enhance SME financing through the special SURGE (Suriname Growth Enterprises) program, an initiative of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Technology Innovation, co-financed by the World Bank. This program supports Surinamese SMEs with credit guarantees, business development services, fintech-driven solutions, and inclusive financing for women and youth. Strategic partners also include IDB and UNDP.
