Ethiopia will be on centre stage at the Bihar Museum Biennale – Global South 2025 in India, showcasing its rich history, art, and culture. The event is being co-organised by the Ethiopian Embassy in New Delhi and constitutes a major cultural achievement in Ethiopia-India relations.
This lively and interactive art show will enable viewers to discover Ethiopia’s rich traditions, stunning artworks, and colourful expressions that have been woven over centuries of history and creativity. From minute craftsmanship to symbolic cultural symbols, the exhibit will be a living link connecting the past to the present and showcasing Ethiopia’s long-standing contribution to the world’s cultural heritage.

Beyond art, Ethiopia’s participation at the Biennale highlights the ancient people-to-people connections, common cultural affinities, and longstanding diplomatic camaraderie between India and Ethiopia. It is a celebration of respect and cultural exchange, strengthening the bond of the two nations.
Ethiopia further basks in the exclusive pride of being the sole African nation represented at this esteemed gathering, along with cultural voices from throughout Asia and Latin America at the Biennale’s third installment. This involvement is not merely an homage to Ethiopia’s heritage but also a celebration of Africa’s position within the rich cultural tapestry of the Global South.
