Indonesia Showcases Culture and History at Bihar Museum Biennale 2025

New Delhi – The Embassy of Indonesia presented high-energy performances and historical nuances at the Bihar Museum Biennale 2025, profiling strong cultural ties between Indonesia and India.

The performance began with enchanting traditional dance performances — Puspanjali of Bali, elegant Lentik Rengganis of Central Java, and high-spirited Lincah Rempah of Riau — all echoing tales of tradition, beauty, and the ancient spice trade roads connecting the two countries.

Adding to the historical context, Dr. Agus Widiatmoko spoke about the long-standing relationships between Nalanda Mahavihara in Bihar and Muaro Jambi Temple in Sumatra, both great Buddhist centers of learning from the 7th to 12th centuries that promoted interchanges of mind across the seas.

In the context of “Global South: Sharing Histories”, Indonesian participation proudly celebrated a common heritage of culture, scholarship, and friendship — finding a chord with the audience from India and around the world.
