Chennai: The Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka for Southern India, Dr. Ganesanathan Geathiswaran, on Thursday facilitated a courtesy meeting between Tamil Nadu’s Minister for Information Technology and Digital Services, Mr. Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, and Sri Lanka’s Deputy Minister for Plantation and Community Infrastructure, Mr. Sundaralingam Pradeep, in Chennai.
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka, with particular emphasis on information technology, digital services, and infrastructure development. Both sides discussed opportunities to enhance collaboration in digital infrastructure, technology-driven governance, and capacity building.
The dignitaries also exchanged views on Sri Lanka’s ongoing economic developments and explored potential avenues for joint initiatives aimed at supporting infrastructure growth and technological advancement. The interaction reflected the shared interest of Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka in deepening regional cooperation and leveraging technology for sustainable development.
