AMU City Girls’ High School Wins Prizes at International Inter-School Competition

ALIGARH, December 22: Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) City Girls’ High School participated in an International Inter-School Competition, Scoberation 2025, organised by Islamic Mission School, Aligarh, with participation from schools in Dubai, Oman, Qatar, CBSE institutions and AMU schools.

Students of Classes IX to XII from AMU City Girls’ High School presented a working model titled “Smart Helmet with Alcohol Detection System,” highlighting road safety and the prevention of drunk-driving accidents. The model, prepared by Humera, Fozia Shakeel and Umrah Riyaz of Class IX-A under the supervision of Mrs. Tehmina Ashraf (TGT Science), earned the Consolation Prize along with a cash award of ₹1,000.

In addition, two students secured special “Over and Above” prizes for innovation, creativity and social impact. Varsha Gautam (Class IX-A) was recognised for her project on an Automatic Sunlight Tracking Solar Panel, while Mahi (Class VI-C) received the award for a Communication Satellite model.

Principal Mr. Javed Akhtar congratulated the students and appreciated the mentor for her guidance and dedication.
