Paris, January 10, 2026 – President Emmanuel Macron of France received External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar in Paris ahead of his scheduled visit to India in February. The two leaders discussed strengthening the France–India Strategic Partnership, focusing on collaboration under the Horizon 2047 Roadmap, a long-term framework aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation in areas such as technology, defense, energy, and climate action.

They also exchanged views on global issues, including regional security, multilateral cooperation, and economic development, signaling a continued commitment to deepen ties between the two democracies. President Macron’s upcoming visit to India is expected to further reinforce strategic, economic, and cultural engagements.
