Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon, death of a municipal council member

A Lebanese government employee was killed in an Israeli drone strike in southern Lebanon on Sunday night. This information was reported by Lebanon’s state news agency, the National News Agency (NNA). According to the report, an Israeli drone used a guided missile to target a car in the city of Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon.

According to a local newspaper, the person killed in the attack has been identified as Mohammad Adel al-Saghir. He was a resident of Bint Jbeil and served as a member of the municipality there.

Earlier the same day, Israeli fighter jets also carried out large-scale airstrikes in areas north of the Litani River in Lebanon. According to Lebanese sources, Israeli warplanes conducted more than 35 airstrikes in three phases.

Lebanese security sources said that around 70 missiles were fired during these attacks. The strikes reportedly targeted alleged Hezbollah positions as well as residential buildings. The attacks were carried out in the village of Kafr Hatta, causing extensive destruction. Dozens of homes were damaged, and widespread devastation was seen in the area.
