The Ambassador of France to India, H.E. Mr Thierry Mathou, met Ms Debashree Mukherjee, Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), to further strengthen France–India cooperation in skill development and vocational education. The discussions underscored the shared priority of youth upskilling and reaffirmed both sides’ commitment to deepening institutional partnerships, enhancing knowledge exchange, and building a future-ready, globally aligned skills ecosystem.
The two sides also welcomed MSDE’s participation in the upcoming RUSH event (Rencontres Universitaires et Scientifiques de Haut Niveau / High-Level Academic and Scientific Gathering), scheduled for 18–19 February at the AIIMS campus in New Delhi.
Building on the Memorandum of Understanding signed in July 2025, France is set to sign a Letter of Intent with the Indian Ministry and its Directorate General of Training (DGT) to support the establishment of a National Centre of Excellence in Kanpur, leveraging French expertise in the field of aeronautics.
