The 6th edition of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale recently welcomed the Ambassador of Norway to India, Her Excellency Ms. May-Elin Stener, for an official walkthrough of the exhibition. She was accompanied by her spouse, Mr. Espen Aasen, and Mr. Andreas B. Schei, Counsellor for Climate and Environment at the Royal Norwegian Embassy.

The delegation was received by Mr. Thomas Varghese, Chief Executive Officer of the Kochi Biennale Foundation, and Dr. Shwetal A. Patel, International Partnerships & Programmes, Kochi Biennale Foundation, who guided the guests through the Biennale’s diverse artistic narratives.

A highlight of the visit was an in-depth engagement with Remember Me (2025), an evocative installation by renowned Norwegian artist Sandra Mujinga, showcased at 111 Markaz & Café in Mattancherry. The Ambassador also toured the galleries at Aspinwall House, where she interacted with works by artists Anja Ibsch (Still), Ratna Gupta, Abul Hisham (Healing Room), and Smitha M. Babu (Pakkalam).

The 6th Kochi-Muziris Biennale is curated by Nikhil Chopra in collaboration with HH Art Spaces and is being held across multiple venues, including 111 Markaz & Café and Aspinwall House, reinforcing the Biennale’s role as a key platform for international contemporary art dialogue.
