New Delhi: French President Emmanuel Macron is set to undertake his fourth visit to India for bilateral engagements and to participate in the upcoming AI Impact Summit, further deepening the strategic partnership between the two nations.

Macron’s previous visits have marked significant milestones in India–France relations.
During his 2018 visit, President Macron opened a new chapter in bilateral ties by strengthening the India–France Strategic Partnership. The visit expanded cooperation across key sectors including defence, space, civil nuclear energy, climate action, education, and people-to-people exchanges.

In 2023, Macron visited India to attend the G20 Summit, where both countries reinforced collaboration on global economic governance, climate action, sustainable development, and inclusive growth. The two sides reiterated their shared commitment to serve as a force for good, guided by the vision of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” — One Earth, One Family, One Future.
Macron’s 2024 State Visit as Chief Guest at India’s 75th Republic Day marked another landmark moment in bilateral ties. With France becoming the most-invited nation as Republic Day Chief Guest — six times — the leaders announced 2026 as the India–France Year of Innovation.

The forthcoming visit is expected to build on this momentum, further advancing cooperation in emerging technologies, strategic sectors, and global governance.
