New Delhi — Warrant Officer Second Class (Ret’d) Satyasagar Ghale was awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) by Lindy Cameron at a special ceremony in New Delhi, in recognition of his outstanding service to the Gurkha community.

Ghale has demonstrated long-standing dedication to the welfare of veterans and their families, reflecting the highest standards of public service. Through his work with the Gurkha Welfare Trust, he has supported 94 ex-British Army servicemen and their families in India since 2005.

The honour acknowledges his sustained commitment to improving the lives of Gurkha veterans and underscores the impact of his contributions over nearly two decades.
