Taraz will become a hub of cultural exchange and creativity on April 23–24, 2026, as it hosts the International Craft Festival “Taraz — City of Craftsmen” at the historical and ethnocultural complex “Kone Taraz.”

The large-scale event is set to bring together more than 100 artisans from across Central Asia, including Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and various regions of Kazakhstan. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore a diverse range of traditional and contemporary crafts through exhibitions, мастер-классы (master classes), and a scientific conference dedicated to the development of both traditional and modern craftsmanship.

A highlight of the festival will be the youth exhibition “My World: Fantasy and Reality,” showcasing creative works by emerging artists.
The festival program also features several major cultural events:
- ASPARA Fashion Week, blending national heritage with modern fashion trends
- A live music program titled “Dombyra Party”
- A gala concert featuring popular performers
In addition to the cultural program, attendees will be able to purchase unique handmade goods and immerse themselves in the rich historical heritage of Taraz.

The festival promises to be a vibrant celebration of craftsmanship, culture, and regional collaboration.
