Aligarh, The Training and Placement Office (General), Aligarh Muslim University organized SPECTRUM 2.0, at the Kennedy Auditorium, to provide a vital platform for students to engage with corporate leaders on the shifting paradigms of professional branding and Artificial Intelligence.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Suhalia Parveen, Assistant TPO (General). Dr. Muzamil Mushtaq Assistant TPO (General) outlined the event’s objectives, stressing the importance of aligning student skill sets with the rapidly evolving demands of the global market.
Mr. Saad Hameed, convener of the event felicitated the guests and the experts from the industry.
The Chief Guest, Prof. Mohammad Gulrez, Department of West Asian and North African Studies, AMU, emphasized the importance of shifting mindsets from merely seeking jobs to creating opportunities and becoming job providers. He encouraged the students to develop entrepreneurial thinking and contribute to employment generation in the economy.

The Guest of Honour, Mr. Neeraj Kumar, SSP Aligarh, shared his professional journey and motivated the students to remain persistent and curious, famously echoing the “stay hungry, stay foolish” philosophy.
The first technical segment focused on “Personal Branding and Network Mastery,” moderated by Dr. Saim Khan, Department of commerce.
Industry experts including Mr. Mohammad Shohaib, Schneider Electric, and Mr. Altaf Hussain, ITC Ltd., provided a deep dive into the difference between simple networking and genuine relationship building.
Alongside, Ms Namita Pandey, Mr. Srijan India, and Ms Shradha D from Teach for India, addressed students’ concerns regarding visibility within the university.
The experts stressed that while visibility is essential, it must be anchored in competence and honesty, with a warning that oversharing on digital platforms can often undermine professional credibility.
The second segment transitioned into the high-stakes world of Artificial Intelligence, moderated by Dr. Asif Akhtar, Department of Business Administration. The discussion demystified the fear of AI-driven job loss.
Mr. Athar Ali of Yes Bank and Mr. Haris Khan of Mindtel Global emphasized that AI is a tool for disruption that rewards those who adapt. The panel, which included Arpit Goliya of Hexaview Technologies and Mr. Mohammad Yasir Iftekhar of Cambay Solutions, provided a technical roadmap for students, suggesting a focus on Python and the “4 D’s” framework.
Complementing the technical advice, Ms. Shahnaz Hussain of Career Plan B highlighted the longevity of human-led soft skills, particularly in fields like sales and strategic negotiation.
The panel discussions were followed by enriching interactive sessions between the industry experts and the students.
The event reached its conclusion with the felicitation of the organizing committee members and TPO volunteers by Prof. Naved Khan, Proctor, AMU, in recognition of their dedicated efforts in making the event a grand success and to encourage students for their active participation and contribution.
